| | Resetting the windows mail completion cache I entered an email address in contacts. I mistyped the information and deleted the contact and then entered the correct information. Now when I add the nickname, the error email address shows along with the correct one. I think I need to either reset the completion cache or nickname, but cannot find how to do that. Thanks. |

It only 'remembers' a maximum of 29 recently used addresses, so eventually the incorrect one will drop off the remembered list. | Vista Home Premium x64 | Re: Resetting the windows mail completion cache Here is how I fixed this same problem. Open regedit and navigate to "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows Mail\Recently Used Addresses" and delete the "Recently Used Addresses" folder. Doing this will reset the cache of addresses. |
