Collapsed folders, Can't see new mail notification.

Collapsed folders, Can't see new mail notification.

    Hi all
I have filters for incoming email that puts the messages into subfolders. If
the parent folder is expanded and I can see the subfolder name, I can see
the number of new messages after the subfolder name and the subfolder name
itself is bolded. All is well.

The problem I'm having is that if the parent folder is collapsed, and there
is new mail in a subfolder, nothing indicates that there is new mail in a
subfolder. I have to have all the folder names expanded and displayed, which
doesn't work as I have to scroll through the complete folder list every time
I want to see if I have new mail.

Surely I must be missing something here. How do I get notified of new mail
    arriving into subfolders?

    Thanks in advance.

It's working as expected. Only new mail for a folder will show and not for a
parent folder. Not enough subroutines in the code to to check I would
    suspect.

The only thing you can do is move the folder out to the same level if you
want to see if new mail arrives.

I can't recal if it did this properly in Outlook Express. If it did, then
they ripped a bit too much from the code and if it didn't then it's not
going to do what you are wanting unless they rewrite or write some
    additional code to accomplish it.

If something doesn't work like it did before in OE, they probably ripped it
out of there.Blame the focus groups.
