Organizing Contacts

While I can put my contacts into folders, when composing email and I click on
the "To:" I get an alphabetical list of all my contacts. They are not sorted
into the contact folders. In OE you could organize the "To:" list via the
"Adress Book", but in Vista there is no Address Book, just Contacts.

How can i get the "To:" list organized to show the Contact folders with
associated email addresses?

RE: Organizing Contacts

I don't know if this is where I'm supposed to enter my post, but here goes:
I couldn't figure out how to post a new question, so I am expanding on RNB's
question: I am trying to set up my "address book", and while I can sort the
contacts alphabetically by last name (which is what I want), when I'm sending
an e-mail and click on "To" to select recipients, they are listed
alphabetically by FIRST name - which I do NOT want. How can I change this?
OE let me arrange them anyway I wanted. Any help will be greatly
appreciated!

Re: Organizing Contacts

When you are looking at the list of contacts after clicking on 'To',
click on the 'Name' column header. Each click will cycle to a different
sort, for a total of four. I believe that once this is done, it will remember
your preference from then on.

How can i get the "To:" list organized to show the Contact folders with
associated email addresses?
Hi RNB,

Sorry, Windows Mail does not support that feature anymore. The closest thing you can get to a folder to show up in the "TO:" area is a Contact Group. You can see how to make one in this tutorial.
