Vista - unknown error occurred

I received an e-mail that cannot be moved of deleted from my inbox. The
reason is an unknown message occurred. I switched to avast security software
and still the message remains. I even went as far as rebooting my system to
a date before the e-mail was received. None of these options has helped.
Can any one else offer a suggestion.

Changing your antivirus to a more compatible one will only
prevent additional mail corruption. It does not fix corruption that
already exists.

If you have only one bad email, it is best to just ignore it.
If the problem gets worse, or you can't ignore it, upgrade
to Windows Live Mail:

Hi Rhonda,

I would agree with Gary's suggestion and switch to Windows Live Mail.

If you need to repair Windows Mail, then read the top portion at this link and do the "To Reset Windows Mail" section. It will get rid of the stuck message for you.
