Why no spell check options in Windows Mail/Vista

Why is there a spell check icon at the top of the Windows mail page if the
only option is to have all emails checked automatically or to turn spell
check off.
I don't usually need to use the spell checker, but I do on occasion. I don't
need every message I send popping up with a "spell check is complete" box.

Is there a fix in the works for this?

Hi Jude,

You have it wrong. You can turn off the "Always check spelling before sending" option in the Tools > Options > Spelling settings for the automatic spell check, but you can still click on the icon on the toolbar to do a spell check manually when you want to.

Hope this helps,
Shawn
