Delete mail > return to Inbox Windows Mail

Just got a new laptop with Vista and I'm using Windows Mail. After reading
an email and deleting it, I want to return to the inbox, instead of having
the next message open. I used to be able to do this in Outlook but can't
seem to find the option to change it in Windows mail.

Thanks to anyone who can help!

Re: Delete mail > return to Inbox Windows Mail

You will have to turn the preview pane off.
View, Layout, uncheck "View preview pane."

Thanks for the reply. I had tried that before and it still does the same
thing, even with the preview pane turned off. I have closed Windows Mail and
re-started it also.

Re: Delete mail > return to Inbox Windows Mail

Sorry, you are correct. All you can do is close that message and
then delete it from the message list.
