Vista - Unable to delete email

Worked fine for the past six months... have set to empty on close program.
Tried taking that off and then closing and then checking it again to no
avail. Have any ideas?

Hi Pastor Ruth,

Read the top portion at this site and do the "Stuck Message in the Deleted Items Folder" section. It should get rid of them for you. I would recommend to switch to Windows Live Mail though. It is not buggy like Windows Mail.

I was able to remove all of my deleted items from the folder by:

1. trying like you should (some messages did not go away).

2. then, highlighting the first one on top of the list (not opening it!!!),
right click on deleted items (sometimes it took 2 /3 attempts) and click
ENTER to confirm you want it deleted. It worked but was a pain since I had
45 messages to do.

3. I had to do this for each message left in the folder, sometimes having
to close and re-start the program, making sure I start from first message on
top, ect... If not doing it like that, I was left (many times) with an error
message.

3. Hope this help, because everything else I read here from other people
didn't work.
