    windows mail cannot be installed as standard email program in Vista

    Dear people
    Does anyone have a solution for this problem?It makes that the mailto: links
    do open internet explorer instead of windows mail.

    Did you mean you want Hotmail to respond to MailTo links?
    If so, try this:
    http://www.winhelponline.com/articles/224/1/

    I'm not aware of any similar fix that would allow you to use
    webmail other than Hotmail.

    my windows mail is selected as standard email, but when i click on links on
    the internet I get the message " this is not your standard email". Is this
    what you mean? And do anyone hav a solution?
