It could well be the cause of your Windows Mail problems. One solution is to upgrade to Windows Live Mail, since it is less prone to interference from antivirus programs. http://get.live.com/wlmail/overview You can't get Microsoft interested in Windows Mail problems because it is a discontinued product for all practical purposes. -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP "Pigpog" <Pigpog@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:E487AF1F-50DE-4D51-80ED-2F817ABF4BBD@xxxxxx Quote: > Hi Guys, > > I have been having the same problem for he last few days...... > > My Vista Basic has been up and running fine for ages. | | can't open attachments I am having the same problem. If I try to open an attachment directly from the mail it doenst do anything, if I click to 'save as' then I get a message that 'the command failed to execute' this is the same if I try to save an attachment that I recieved last week that I opened with no problem at all! I have switched the user control off too, and also the option in Winmail to not allow attachements. If I download a file from IE, I go through the full process of downloading it, 10% 50% etc... then I go to where it saved and it is not there? |

Some of them cause assorted problems under Windows Mail, although seldom immediately. |
