Hyperlinks in emails in Windows mail won't work.

I have just got a new Vista computer, with lovely new Outlook loaded
onto it. But,when I click on a link sent in an email, I get an error
message telling me it won't go to the link and to ask my administrator
for help. I am the administrator and I don't know what to do about it!
Its an admin account, and so I am surprised I am limited in this way.
Please help? what setting do I need to change to bypass this? Many
thanks.

Hi MinxKitten,

Double check these items:

1. Go into Default Programs and make sure that Internet Explorer has all of it's default associations set to it. You can see how here:

Default Programs - Program Default Associations

2. Check these settings in Windows Mail:
A) Click Tools, Options, Security tab
B) Dot "Internet Zone"
C) Click Ok

This should get it to work for you.

Click Start, select "Default Programs"
Click "Set program access and computer defaults"
Click "Custom" and select "Internet Explorer"
Click OK
