| | Encryption When I try to open encrypted e-mails Windows Mail is terminated by Data Execution Prevention. I have a digital id installed from Danish TDC and so does the person I get the mail from. I have no problems opening the same mails on the computer at work - the same digital id is installed on that computer which is running Windows XP. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? | | RE: Encryption I was having a similar issue, maybe the same issue, where Windows Mail would shut itself down when trying to open an encrypted e-mail. Interestingly, if I hit the Reply button, I could read the message in the reply. As a work-around, I went into Tools > Options > Security > Advanced and cleared the "Add senders' certificates to my Windows Contacts" checkbox. Now I can open encrypted / signed e-mails in Windows Mail. Hope this helps. |
