| | Username and Password Got a strange thing; when I want to check my mail, suddenly a window pops out where I have to type my username and password. This pops up even I have set it to remember my username and password. I have tried to delete my mail server and reinstall it but it keeps popping up still. I dont know what has happened, before it ran without problems and I have not made any new settings. Can someone help? |

| | Re: Username and Password It is quite likely that this problem is caused by your antivirus. Windows Mail is not compatible with most McAfee or Norton security programs. Those will need to be uninstalled, not just disabled. After uninstalling your non-compatible antivirus, download and install a more compatible antivirus like the free Avast: http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html Even compatible antivirus programs will need to have their email scanning option turned off. For more on this topic see http://www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3 After you have done the above, if the problem continues, it means the account was corrupted by the antivirus. Delete the account, restart Windows Mail, then recreate that account.
