Can't see images

Hello group,

Images included in Windows Mail attachment show up only as a tiny red X at
the upper left of the image area. What setting am I missing?

thanx

You are probably set to read all mail in plain text?
Tools>options>read tab.
Also Tools>options>security tab 'block images'.

I have both options selected and only view inline images in mail from known
senders, by using Alt, V, H on selected messages, in HTML messages you then
get a warning about images above the message.
YMMV?

Re: Can't see images

"View in plain text" and "block images" are not selected. Could the images be
rendered in a format my computer doesn't have? Never saw this before.

thanx,
Ron

Re: Can't see images

Steve,
Thanx for that. I cleared history; nothing happened. I can't find TIFF in
Internet Options. Can you guide me there?

thanx,
Ron

Re: Can't see images

I have the same problem (running windows mail on vista premium). I followed
instructions in previous posts and so I appear to be configured correctly,
cache cleared, etc.. All mail seems to be coming thru ok but I can't receive
any of the images in the newsletters I get. Images appear fine on my other
computer using outlook express on xp sp2

Re: Can't see images

Click on Tools, then Options, then Read. If there is a check mark in the
box
before Read all messages in plain text, click on this check mark and then
Apply. Click on OK.

Note that some of the images will arrive as attachments instead of in the
message. Click on the paperclip if any to see the attachments.
