I have both options selected and only view inline images in mail from known senders, by using Alt, V, H on selected messages, in HTML messages you then get a warning about images above the message. All mail seems to be coming thru ok but I can't receive any of the images in the newsletters I get. Note that some of the images will arrive as attachments instead of in the message. Click on the paperclip if any to see the attachments.
