Some Pictures received on Windows mail don't appear!

Sometimes all I get is a small box within a picture box with an x in it and
no picture. At other times they come through with no problem. Any idea what
is the cause and how to remedy it?

Re: Some Pictures received on Windows mail don't appear!

It is possible that the originator did not include the actual picture.
To see pictures that are stored on the Internet, change this setting:
Tools, Options, Security, select Internet zone instead of Restricted
sites zone.

That is where the setting was set to. Also do not allow Attachments and Block
Images were unchecked under security.

Re: Some Pictures received on Windows mail don't appear!

If we rule out the possibility that the originator didn't include
the pictures, the only other possibility is that one of your third party
security programs is blocking it.
Windows Mail is not compatible with most McAfee or
Norton security programs. Those will need to be
uninstalled, not just disabled.

After uninstalling your non-compatible antivirus, download
and install a more compatible antivirus like the free Avast:
http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html

Even compatible antivirus programs will need to have their
email scanning option turned off. For more on this topic see
