| | No Access to Contacts Using Vista Home Premium, I am no longer able to open Contacts. I can access Contacts by clicking on To: when creating mail, however. I cannot open contacts using the Windows Contacts entry in my Program list, either. This only started happening last week, and I haven't installed any software that would (obviously) affect the Contact List (address Book.) Any clues? Thanks, Dave |

Thanks, Dave Try typing "shell:contacts" (no quotes) in the Start menu's white line (Start Search) area to see if it will open the Contacts folder location in a window. Double check to make sure that Contacts has it's default associations set to it by clicking "Set this program as default" in Default Programs. This tutorial will show you how to do it. The only other suggestion I have is to upgrade to Windows Live Mail because its contacts work much better. http://get.live.com/betas/maildesktop_betas Gary VanderMolen "FiOS Dave" <dminott@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:uHXmLuM#HHA.1900@xxxxxx Quote: > Hi Gary, > > No Outlook 2000, and using Windows One Care. > > Dave > > "Gary VanderMolen" <gary@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:OQGlXiK%23HHA.748@xxxxxx Quote: >> Do you have Outlook 2000 installed? >> Which antivirus are you using? >> >> Gary VanderMolen >> >> >> "FiOS Dave" <dminott@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:84C29F3D-5BE3-4D2C-B7A1-A80C5E245CAB@xxxxxx Quote: >>> Using Vista Home Premium, I am no longer able to open Contacts. >>> I can access Contacts by clicking on To: when creating mail, however. >>> I cannot open contacts using the Windows Contacts entry in my Program list, either. >>> This only started happening last week, and I haven't installed any software that >>> would (obviously) affect the Contact List (address Book.) >>> >>> Any clues? >>> >>> Thanks, >>> >>> Dave |

| | Re: No Access to Contacts Thanks Gary, but I'd rather try to fix the problem. While Mail does have its quirks, it works fine for me. I tried Live Mail and didn't like it (forget why). Maybe someone else will have a clue!
