Subject 'test for windows mail', Account: 'pop-server.carolina.rr.com', Server: 'smtp-server.carolina.rr.com', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '553 Authentication is required to send mail as <dtoffolo@xxxxxx>', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 553, Error Number: 0x800CCC78 I have been told there is a software problem which i do not know how to fix. My server has verified that I can send and receive mail just not useing windows mail. Can you help? |

Can you help? Select the account and click Properties. On the Servers tab check the box on the bottom: "My server requires authentication" -- Frank Saunders, MS-MVP OE/WM Do not send mail. |

So what has happened to customer service and being able to ask and get answers to problems? This new Vista is not worth the trouble I have had the last 5 months. New is not always better.
