| | Re: Having problems sending e-mail with attachment! By any chance, are you sending from a laptop while away from home? If that is not the case, it could be interference from your antivirus. Windows Mail is not compatible with most McAfee or Norton security programs. Those will need to be uninstalled, not just disabled. After uninstalling your non-compatible antivirus, download and install a more compatible antivirus like the free Avast: http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html Even compatible antivirus programs will need to have their email scanning option turned off. | | Re: Having problems sending e-mail with attachment! I am having the same trouble with attachments. I have Trend Micro AntiVirus and Spy Sweeper on a 5 day old computer with Vista. Does anyone know how I can attach a large (4000 KB) pdf? | | Re: Having problems sending e-mail with attachment! Uninstall both Trend and SpySweeper, if they are setup to scan your email, then do a custom re-install of both and do not install any email scanning features whatsoever. A 4000 KB file has a very good chance of exceeding your ISP's maximum size limit (almost all ISPs impose a maximum size for email messages), you should check with them to see if it does. If your ISP has a size limit and you exceed it, your email dies at the server entrance.
