Hi Tim,
You will need to go into Default Programs to set Windows Mail as the default. This tutorial will show you how.

Do you have Microsoft Office or Outlook installed? Sometimes
updates for those will reset the default email program.

gets an update. I think even an update to its junk mail filter.
