| | One email account, two user accounts New to vista and windows mail. My husband and I have one email address which we share, but have set up one user account each. We want to be able to see all emails, but what appears to be happening is that we can only see the emails that we download when each of us logs in. Does that make sense? What we want to be able to see is all sent and received emails no matter who is logged in. We can't figure out a way of doing this unless scrap individual accounts and we both work from one user account. Is there anyone out there who can advise on what our best option is? Many thanks! -- Robyn |

| | Re: One email account, two user accounts For each of you to download the same email, you have to change the settings, to leave the email on the server, at least until both of you get it downloaded.. Tools - Accounts - youraccount - Properties - Advanced [x] Leave a copy of messages on server [x] Remove from server after xx days ok "Robyn S" <RobynS@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:B1CB826A-D309-4F7A-A770-534BC366A258@xxxxxx Quote: > New to vista and windows mail. > > My husband and I have one email address which we share, but have set up > one > user account each. Many thanks! -- Robyn Yes, there is a way. In both user accounts and in Windows Mail: 1. Click Tools - Accounts 2. Select the email account and click Properties. 3. Click the Advanced tab 4. Check "Leave a copy of message on server" 5. If you would like to choose a time limit for this, select one of the options under this. 6. Click OK. Shawn |

| | Re: One email account, two user accounts Other responders have already given you information on how both of you can see all incoming emails. However, there is no easy way that both of you can see each other's sent emails. If that is important, you may have to start using a common Windows user login, at least for email.
