Read the "First" section in this tutorial about antivirus programs to help prevent this from happening again, and then install the KB941090 Update in the "Second" section from Microsoft to fix the stuck message problem. | | Re: I cannot recieve emails. Which antivirus are you using? Windows Mail is not compatible with most McAfee or Norton security programs. Those will need to be uninstalled, not just disabled. After uninstalling your non-compatible antivirus, download and install a more compatible antivirus like the free Avast: http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html Even compatible antivirus programs will need to have their email scanning option turned off. | | Re: I cannot recieve emails. According to http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/299496 this error can be caused by a corrupted Inbox. Make sure your antivirus has mail scanning turned off. Then delete the mail account (mail.pointofsolutions.com), restart Windows Mail, and recreate that account. | | Re: I cannot recieve emails. Do you have access to another computer? It would be interesting to try it on a different computer in order to determine if the fault lies with your computer or with the mail server. Another good test scenario would be to install Mozilla Thunderbird or Windows Live Mail on a temporary basis. If it works, that would suggest a corrupted Windows Mail. If it doesn't work, that would suggest a corrupted Vista, or a mail server malfunction.
