| | RE: My Turn, Help with Windows Mail not Sending New info... Apparently at the same time, my wife's computer (on same home network but using WinXP / Outlook Express) is similarly not letting mail send. Her error message is: "The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'Cheri at Comcast', Server: 'smtp.comcast.net', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E" Perhaps I should be asking: "How would i check if Comcast changed something??" ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- "JekoTennessee" wrote: Quote: > I've removed McAfee, and re-entered e-mail info. | | RE: My Turn, Help with Windows Mail not Sending Is there a term for hijacking one's own thread?? Issue solved. After the second computer revelation, I found that myu ISP (comcast) had closed port 25 (too frequently used by spammers) and had us use another port #. Now all is good again.
