New look of Windows Mail folders

All of a sudden today, my Windows Mail layout is different. Somebody
suggested this morning that the Windows Mail Beta just got downloaded,
overlaying the "real" version which came with my brand new computer. It is
possible that I am missing emails. I need all of the folders, per different
email 'account" that I use, to show up in "one set of folders". Also, the
Windows-related toolbar, that typically has "File, Edit, View, Tools, etc.,
is not appearing anymore.

Can anybody suggest what may have happened, probably by accident? How can I
revert back to the original Windows Mail layout and properties? Thanks.

Hi Thomas,

I believe you are referring to Windows Live Mail Beta 2 (WLM). WLM is another email program like Windows Mail (WM). It does not replace it, but just takes over as the default email program and replaces the WM shortcuts. WM is still there. You can run it again by clicking on the program at "C:\Program Files\Windows Mail\WinMail.exe".

If you want all accounts to show up in one set of folders to, then right click on "Quick View" and click "Select Quick Views" and check the folders you want.

To get back the Menu bar, click the "Show Menu" icon next to the paint brush icon (or press ALT+M) and check "Show all menus".

Hope this helps,
Shawn

Already answered in another thread. Please don't post multiple
