Error message, cannot receive/send mail

Hi,
Please help!!! I am receiving an error message and cannot retrieve or send
mail.
Message reads;
Account: 'Aura Baskets & Gifts', Server: 'mail.aurabaskets.ca', Protocol:
POP3, Server Response: '-ERR Invalid password or username', Port: 110,
Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC92

I've tried disabling the McAfee email protection, unchecking [ ] This server
requires a secure connection (SSL), and changing the port numbers to 25 &
110.
Please help, this is an important business account I need to retrieve mail
from!
Thanks in-advance, Aura.

Re: Error message, cannot receive/send mail

The message implies that you are using an invalid username and/or password.

Re: Error message, cannot receive/send mail

The error message you included pertains to receiving, so
I'll limit my response to that.

Disabling McAfee is not sufficient. It must be uninstalled completely.
Also, since McAfee has probably corrupted that account, after
McAfee is uninstalled you will have to delete that mail account.
Then restart Windows Mail and re-create the account.

At your convenience, download and install a more compatible
antivirus like the free Avast:
http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html

Even compatible antivirus programs will need to have their
email scanning option turned off. For more on this topic see
