| | http server Hi Guys Just got my windows vista bata2 downloaded and burned to DVD, and installed. All went well after i reburned it at slow speed. But i have a problem with windows mail. I have Qwest DSL and MSN Premium , which is http mail. If i am reading corectly in this newsgroup , i gather it will not work , is that right. I only get the options of pop3 or imap , no http for server. Am i hosed on useing outlook express ? But it set up these newsgroups ok in windows mail on my http server. Don't really want to use hotmail or MSN mail. Can someone clue me in please. thanks Carl G |

You can go to http://ideas.live.com and get Windows Live Mail Desktop which does handle HTTP mail, at least Hotmail.com and live.com addresses. -- Frank Saunders, MS-MVP OE/IE http://www.fjsmjs.com Please reply in newsgroup, especially if you want an answer. | | Re: http server And I'll buy that theory for someone such as myself who has a free Hotmail account that is "grandfathered" in so that Outlook (not Express) will interact with it, but Carl has a premium account that he is already paying for. I think MSFT is dropping the ball on this one. I guess, Carl, one very temporary workaround would be to install Office Pro Beta 2007 and use Outlook. This Beta also expires some time in early 2007, so like I said, a very temporary fix.
