Selective message deletion? (2nd Post)

Three questions regarding the deletion of newsgroup messages:

FIRST, is there a way to delete all messages in a newsgroup except your own
message threads? If so, is there a way to delete all messages in ALL
newsgroups at ONCE except your own message threads?

SECOND, is there a way to delete all messages PRIOR to a GIVEN DATE except
your own message threads?

THIRD, is there a way to only download new headers SUBSEQUENT to a GIVEN
DATE ( such as the purge date used in the previous item)?

Blue, you can't delete messages from a newsgroup. You can mark threads as
read, if you wish.

Re: Selective message deletion? (2nd Post)

True, but we should be able to delete them from our newsreader, shouldn't
we?

Re: Selective message deletion? (2nd Post)

Thank you for the reply, Frank. I believe I understand that feature,
however, that feature only filters the messages to SHOW my messages or
replies. It doesn't DELETE all other downloaded messages except for my
messages and replies. Does that make sense? What I want to do is delete
all the thousands of messages and headers I have downloaded over the months
WITHOUT deleting messages of ongoing interest such as our own messages or
flagged messages. Can it be done?
