Newsgroup question please

First: Can I run Outlook Express on Vista? If so how can I install it?

The reason I ask is I recently bought a new Vista computer and the new Mail
program that replaces OE has a quirk that bothers me. Please let me know if
there is a work-around. With OE when you are "watching" a thread in a
newsgroup if there are unread messages in that thread the name of the
newsgroup it highlighted in red on the folder list on the left side of the
screen. Mail does not seem to do this. It is important to me as I
subscribe to many newsgroups and may not recall all of the groups that
contain a thread I am watching. Can this problem be solved?

Thanks in advance... Bob
