Vista - outlook message stuck

I have a message stuck in my outbox. I have tried to clear it, it wont let
me open it, i wont let me delete it It is actually going, my daughter who it
is addressed to has receved it 12 times!!! I need to get it out so that I
can use my email, its been stuck about 10 days. I have some help info
printed but it does not help much, it is not Window vista and the
instructions are not clear

In Outlook, click on File > Work Offline.. Now go to the Outbox and delete
the offending mail. When finished, restart Outlook..

Is this for the Windows Mail program? If so, use this Microsoft fix:
