Embedded links in emails

When clicking embedded link get message 'Application not found' plus
reference to http//www.enablermail.com plus rest of address. How do I
associate these addresses to Windows Internet Explorer. If I type in the
address, given in the error notice, into Explorer it opens the site but this
is very longwinded.
