| | Where is Vista's Windows Auido Converter? Did vista remove the Windows audio converter that I loved so much with XP? I can't find it anywhere, and I can't find it in help topics anywhere. I know how to change the file type when I rip a CD but right now I have alot of WMA files that I want converted to MP3 and I can't find a way to get vista to do that. Any suggestions? |

WMA to MP3 natively, probably an additional media player pack or something. I've used http://www.dbpoweramp.com/dmc.htm in the past which is quite good, free, but the MP3 encoders are only trialware I believe. Or you could re-rip the music directly to MP3 using Windows Media Player. -- Paul Smith, Yeovil, UK. | | Re: Where is Vista's Windows Auido Converter? The Audio Converter was part of the Plus! pack, not a part of XP. I have it on my computer, as I upgraded from XP to Vista. http://www.microsoft.com/windows/plus/default.mspx "Noja" <Noja@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:9C3ED405-D676-4198-99E1-CDBAB7F3EC0B@xxxxxx Quote: > Did vista remove the Windows audio converter that I loved so much with XP? > I > can't find it anywhere, and I can't find it in help topics anywhere. | | Re: Where is Vista's Windows Auido Converter? I believe they are considering what PLUS! was, it has a recorder that functions as a converter.
