I recently purchased a Toshiba laptop with Windows Vista Home Premium
installed on it. I like to run the screen saver with pictures I have taken.
I am seeing at least 30% the images that I have pixelation issue. Especially
with faces and bright white subjects vertical bands start to appear. Other
times there are simply jagged edges on the curves of subjects. Most of these
images are 6Mp fine quality images with a resolution size greater than that
of the screen. In some cases it seems that the more detailed the image the
less likely this is to occur. I view these images on several other Win XP
machines and have not seen these artifacts.

Since I take thousands of pictures this is really starting to annoy me. Is
there a way to tell if the problem is something in Vista, the video driver or
the screen itself.

Thanks,
Tim
