Cannot find videos that I've downladed in Movie Maker

After downloading videos from the internet, I can always locate them in
whatever folder I have saved them in (this is when I'm not using Movie
Maker), but when I use Movie Maker and want to import them to use in a movie,
they are never there. After I click "Videos" under "Import" in the Tasks
section of Movie Maker, I go to the folder that I've saved the videos in, and
when I open it, it just says "No items match your search". I've looked in
other folders for the videos as well, but no luck. My music and pictures are
always there, but never videos.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Re: Cannot find videos that I've downladed in Movie Maker

I expect teh videos are of a file type whcih is incompatible to Movie maker,
so they don't show. Say you were using word to open a word document, it
wouldn't show you any video files in that box either.
You need to convert the files to wmv and then use them. here are some apps
to do it.
