Opening Large Scanned TIF documents - Windows Picture and Fax View

This is really frustrating. I am just trying to open large scanned TIF
documents. My old system just pulled up Windows Picture and Fax Viewer and it
was easy.

Now, with my new Vista Premium Home, I don't even appear to have Windows
Picture and Fax Viewer. And, neither photo gallery, nor paint, nor one other
provided program can pull things up. Photo gallery actually pulls parts of
more than one scanned file and combines them !!!

HOW DO I GET WINDOWS PICTURE AND FAX VIEWER ONTO MY VISTA MACHINE???

Failing that, what can I do??

Maybe the freeware IrfanView would be useful:

Download Irfanview
http://www.techspot.com/download299.html
(get the plug-ins too)

No, you can't load the old Picture Viewer on Vista. The Windows Photo
Gallery is the replacement.

WPG should open tiff files ok. It does here.
You might try the newer Windows Live Photo Gallery, as it has more features
and seems quicker.

Or try Irfanview..
