| | Ripping with Media Player 11 creates fragmented files When ripping to a dedicated external drive, formated NTFS, Medai Player seems to create entirely fragmented files. As Vista does not seem to show the fragmented state of a hard drive, I only noticed this when moving the drive to an XP machine. The entire drive of Media player 11 ripped music was red. It defragmented successfuly, but I have taken to ripping onto a temporary location on the internal hard drive and then transferring to the external drive for beautiful blue fragmentation images. Am I doing something wrong? Is this normal? Does anyone know of or have a fix for this? As always, any helps is gratefully appreciated! Peter |
