    Windows Media Player audio problems

Hi all, I have Windows Media Player 11 and Internet Explorer 7.0. The problem
is that when I go to websites like www.nascar.com and go into their Video
section to watch video's it will pop up 2nd internet window. The Video that I
choose starts to play and I can stream the video but no audio comes out of
the speakers. The website uses WMP. Hovewever, I have tested WMP by putting a
CD in the tray and using WMP to play the CD and the CD plays the songs and I
can hear them through the laptop speakers. I can't figure this out as I have
also gone to ABC.com and clicked on their video section and I can't hear
their online videos... I have uninstalled WMP rolled back and then
reinstalled the application and still can't hear audio on these websites. Is
this a problem where perhpas iTunes is conflicting, or maybe something like a
pop up blocker from google is blocking audio. I need help.

Is Ac3Filter.ax on this system? Early versions of that helpfully broke
WMP's mono playback of online clips....

How did you "uninstall" WMP on a Vista system? That sounds dangerous. =\

    Speaking for myself only.
See http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html for some helpful WMP info.
