I have a new Toshiba Satellite with Windows Vista. Whenever I click on an
internet audio site, for example NPR hourly broadcast, or a site's link to
listen to christmas carols, the Windows Media player opens, the wheel spins
as if it is opening the audio bit, but then nothing happens. At this point I
am not able to click on anything in the window - I have to close my session
completely to get out of that frozen mode. If I put a CD into the drive, it
plays on WMP without a problem. I am a techo-idiot, so I have no clue where
to even start to find or fix this problem. Can anyone PLEASE help me? Thank
you!!

Do local audio files work? Do local video files work?
I'd suspect that there's something wrong with the networking here. How are
you connected to the Internet?
