Vista - TV Playback slow and Choppy using Media Center on Windows Vista

If you go into services in the control panel under administrator tools, you will find a service called Windows Media Center Service Launcher. You will see that it is set too Automatic with Delay. Change it to just Automatic.

I was having the same problem and changing that service fixed it.
