| | WMP no longer has audio on internet streams. Today, after attempting to play an AAC+ audio stream from the Orban Tune2 website, WMP11 (Vista Ultimate 32 bit using an M-Audio Revolution 5.1) no longer plays audio. Realplayer, VLC, and Flash sites such as youtube all have video and audio, system sounds function, games have sound (Morrowind as an example). The Media Center App reports a C00D11B1 error when attempting to play AOL Radio with XMS, and so, googling for such, I find lots of options, such as the registry "Audio" value change, enable/disable proxy and so on. Nothing has worked. Is there perhaps something I might do prior to having to reinstall the whole shebang? |

| | Re: WMP no longer has audio on internet streams. AC3Filter is version 1.46 dtd 17/8/2007, which is latest I could find at Sourceforge. | | Re: WMP no longer has audio on internet streams. If you disable or remove that temporarily - does that reenable online audio? This is a dumb idea, I agree, but AC3Filter has done this before. =\ -- Speaking for myself only. See http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html for some helpful WMP info. | | Re: WMP no longer has audio on internet streams. Well, unfortunately, that does not appear to have any effect. However, I have found that if I uninstall/reinstall the soundcard driver software, sound returns. I seem to be at the mercy of the makers of the soundcard (M-Audio). Thank you for your efforts.
