Ripping audio from DVDs

Is there a way to rip just the audio from DVDs?

I have a few live concerts on DVDs, and I would just like to listen to the
audio of them all on my MP3 player. Transferring the whole contents of the
DVDs would take up way too much storage on my MP3 player.

Can Windows Media Player do this?

Thanks.

Re: Ripping audio from DVDs

That's not a feature of the player. An online search should find a number
of solutions.

I used to be able to do it when I had a Soundblaster card using Audacity and selecting "what you hear". If you have a soundblaster card you are half way there and Audacity is free.

DVD Fab Platinum would be the best for this. Not only is it a 100% guaranteed, fool-proof decrypter, but you can rip just the audio like you want, and it will even put it in the correct format for your mp3 player, whatever that may be. I have used the program myself to do this. It also allows you to copy encrypted discs to blank DVD, and lots of other awesome features. See link:
