    Yes I agree, that VLC seems to play anything without skipping a beat, I
    found it runs very stable on Vista & its free

    Were you having missing audio too?

    Switching players because you want to is great. Switching players because
    something random was broken on your system seems like there's a problem
    there that should be solved. =\

    Before I accidently uninstalled my audio drivers my audio and video was
    fine, I played around with various media players to trouble shoot the new
    Nero 8 Showtime media player, which was occasionally having a audio/video
    sync problem, you know when the mouth doesn't quite match the audio, anyway,
    it was useful to compare different media players and hey you just might
    prefer the GUI of one or the other. Just FYI. as it seems popular around
    here lol.
