Vista Tutorial - missing effects on movie maker 2.6

So I just installed MM 2.6 on my computer (I run Vista) because the movie
maker program installed wad not functioning properly. MM 2.6 seems to be
running well, but I have missing effects - namely the ones that allow me to
focus in on a particular area of the screen. How do I get these effects?

Also, does anyone know how to uninstall the prior version of moviemaker? It
shows in my program list in the start menu, but not when I go to uninstall
programs in the control panel.

Those effects don't come with MM2.6, which is essentially the same as MM2.1
in XP.

The pan/zoom ones were added to Vista... for MM6 use only. For extras in
MM2.6, try the same add-on packs available for MM2.1 in XP.

You can't uninstall MM6 as it's a basic part of the OS.
