Broken Thumbnail views

When I transfer pictures from my cameras (two different cameras and two
different memory card formats) some thumbnail images display as "tiled" and
or large grey areas. Also, I have seen the images change while the folder is
updating. When I open the picture for editing though, it appears ok. Has
anyone else witnessed this, and how can I fix it?
Thanks!

RE: Broken Thumbnail views

I get similar situation. When i scan a document or picture and save it to my
external hard drive it has broken images, and grey areas that cover up the
picture. How do I avoid that? Also when I want to scan and save to my
internal hard drive, it does fine.
