Vista - watching downloaded videos

I downloaded a couple of videos from limewire and tried watching them on my
media player but for some reason my media player isnt playing them. I can
hear them but I cant see them, I get the bars and waves I would get if I was
listening to music. Is there something that I'm not doing correctly that I'm
not able to see the actual video instead of just listening to it?

You need the correct codec.

Download G-Spot codec identifier from:
http://www.headbands.com/gspot/

Analyze your videos and then find the correct codec, download and install
it. If it's DivX, you'll find it at www.divx.com. If it's XviD, you'll
find it at www.xvidmovies.com
