| | Picture Duration in Movie Maker I'm trying to make a DVD slide show from photos, for my son's graduation. I want to change the default picutre duration for he entire project from 5 seconds to 10 seconds. I found the dialog box fo it, on "Tools - Options", but it doesn't work. I can change it on the screen, but it doesn't stay. There is no "save" button. Is there a secret? And why can't Microsoft make things right the first time? |

| | Re: Picture Duration in Movie Maker the option is only applied to the next pictures being moved to the project timeline/storyboard... not to those already there.... it's not a right or wrong thing... that's the way it is... personally I don't make projects that use the same picture duration for all the pictures in it. -- website references are to www.papajohn.org PapaJohn (MVP) "Pat" <Pat@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:75EF822A-1C3A-409C-B3A6-05507B265A7C@xxxxxx Quote: > I'm trying to make a DVD slide show from photos, for my son's graduation. > I want to change the default picutre duration for he entire project from 5 > seconds to 10 seconds. > I found the dialog box fo it, on "Tools - Options", but it doesn't work. > I can change it on the screen, but it doesn't stay. > There is no "save" button. > Is there a secret? > And why can't Microsoft make things right the first time? > |

| | Re: Picture Duration in Movie Maker I know that, but I tried applying it to new pix, and it still doesn't work, not even for a whole new projedt. I want to use the same duration for most but not all slides. I know how to change individual slides, but I don't want to do it for a hundred of them. | | Re: Picture Duration in Movie Maker I have a solution for you. Take the 'Slow Down, Half' effect and apply it to all your pictures at once. Begin by selecting all your pictures in the storyboard mode, then right-clicking on the 'Add to Storyboard' option. Alternatively in the timeline view, select them all and choose 'Copy', then 'Paste'.
