| Vista Home Premium 32bit | Movie Maker Publishing problems I use Vista Home Premium 32bit. I tried to make a very simple video with Movie Maker 6.0. It is a song 3:20 in length with a title frame that displays for the entire time. When I tried to publish it, I got the error that it could not be published to the specified location on my computer (the Videos folder) both when set for "best quality for this computer" and when set for "highest audio quality". After digging around, I found a few posts by Papa John and tried testing it with just a bitmap that displays for 5 seconds. It published fine in WMV format, but when I tried to publish the same project in DVI, the screen went "white" (everything faded, but was still visible) and then MM crashed. My problem is, I can't tell exactly what this means my problem is. Last edited by gsyme; 03-24-2008 at 07:27 PM.. |

| Vista Home Premium 32bit | Re: Movie Maker Publishing problems Still searching for a solution. I was able to get my video to publish to an e-mail attachment. Then when it asked if I wanted to save the attachment to my hard drive, I said 'yes.' The quality is poor however. |

| Vista Home Premium 64bit | Re: Movie Maker Publishing problems Video can be very tricky as the slightest corruption can mean it's ok to play and edit with but converting to another format can cause failures. A title frame that appears for the enire 3.20 isn;t going to be very exciting but there is no harm in experimenting. I use Video Studio 11.5+ and have never even looked at Movie Maker so I don;t know it's internal setting or how it handles vcarious codecs.... Which reminds me...if you have a codes Pack installed that could also be a part of the problem. When you say DVI do you Mean AVI? Uncompressed AVI's take up 65gig /hour of video. it's possible you don;t have enough room for an AV1- 3:20 minutes long. Do you have enough space on your HD? |

| Vista Home Premium 32bit | Re: Movie Maker Publishing problems Thank you for the reply, Clevo. Yes, sorry, I did mean AVI. I should have enough space; the test was a single BMP for 5 seconds and the the program estimated 18 MB out of 218 GB for it. And the AVI test was just from Papa John's suggestion I found on his site. The video I'm trying to render is in WMA format, which is the only choice the program gives me. |

| Vista Home Premium 64bit | Re: Movie Maker Publishing problems The only thing I could suggest at this stage is to make sure your graphics card drivers are up to date. Let me know if that fixes things and I may suggest a few other options...if you fix it..let us know here |

| | Re: Movie Maker Publishing problems hi I got a question with publishing, we have been having problems publishing to our computer.; it simply won't do it, laptop says it might have three reasons (not enough space, corrupted clip, or wrong place) all three are good. sometimes out of the blue it does publish, but not in the requested size.. can anyone help us?? thanks! elize "Clevo" wrote: Quote: > > The only thing I could suggest at this stage is to make sure your > graphics card drivers are up to date. > > Let me know if that fixes things and I may suggest a few other > options...if you fix it..let us know here > > > -- > Clevo > |
