Hidden Files

I had some pictures in a folder, and as they were private photos I didn't
want anyone else to see, I had decided to hide them, because I didn't know
how to password protect them. They were in the pictures section of "My
Computer," and now when I go to look at the pictures, I can't find them, and
don't know how to get them back. Can someone please help me? And can you
also tell me how to password protect the folder they're stored in, so that I
don't have to do this again? Thanks!

Re: Hidden Files

In an Explorer Window, click Organize -> Folder & Search Options -> 'View'
tab -> Select the radio button for 'Show hidden files & folders'.

There is no native ability to password protect a folder in Vista. It's all
about user accounts and permissions. People you don't want viewing your
photos should be using their own Standard User account that can't access
your files or folders. If you're using a Standard User account for daily
computing but also have an Administrator account, you could modify
permissions on the folder to only allow Administrator access, you would then
be prompted for your Admin password when you access the folder.
