Re: Problems PLaying videos from a camera in windows media player

I recently imported all of my pictures and videos from my digital cameral
from my SanDisk. I am able to view all of my pictures, but none of my
videos. It continues to say error because of the file extension. I have
tried changing the extension to the acceptable extension listed my windows
media player and none of them will work. How can I play my videos?

You need to go to, in WMP:

Tools > Plug-in > Download plug-in. Find the plug in you want.

Changing the file extension doesn't actually produce any useful benefit.
That's like slapping a "VW Beetle" on your tank. It might be labeled
differently, but it's still the same thing it used to be. =)

What's the (original) file extension?

The original file extension is .MOV. I want to use these videos in a movie
I'm making Microsoft Movie Maker. If you have any suggestions, I'm listening

File conversion is needed before importing to Movie Maker... see my
website's Import Movie Source Files > Video > MOV page.
