Codecs on windows media player (.MOV)

hi, i have a kodak easyshare v803 and when i upload videoes onto windows
movie maker, it tells me that i do not have the required codec to play the
video. im trying to make a short movie for a school project and i do not know
which codec to get. i have no idea what to do or how to get it. help?

so if i have quicktime, then i will be able to work with the .mov file on
windows movie maker?

ok thanks. so now that i downloaded the mov converter, and converted my mov
files, what do i do now? i converted it to wmv. but it still doesnt work on
windows movie maker. it keeps saying i do not have the required codec.

Donna we can go back and forward like this all week...it seem you need a dose of wikipedia..I'm not rying to be a smart arse here it's just that it where I started to research various video file formats and how mind boggingly confusing it can get.

Look up the codec section in wiki....

Also Donna...go to the Kodak easy share website and see if you download the required codec.

The LAST thing you want to do is to install one of those free Mega Codec Packs
