| | Movie Maker - Import Problems Hello, I have been helping a friend - who runs Vista Home Premium SP1 - to import VOB files from his TV DVD Recorder. The error is a little odd - the 1st VOB file will import fine, as will the 2nd - but if I add the 2nd to the storyline (after adding the 1st) I get an error message to the effect that the project is more than 24 hours in duration and cannot be processed by Movie Maker. I have also tried renaming the .vob files to .mpg and the error persists. Am I missing a trick here or is there perhaps a problem with his TV DVD Recorder? All comments appreciated. Thanks in advance. Steve |

| | Re: Movie Maker - Import Problems Windows Movie Maker does not work properly with mpeg2 files, of which .vob files are a type. I convert my .vob files to a compatible .avi file using VirtualDub for MPEG2 and the WMV 9 codec. You can also get more info on this issue at: http://www.myvideoproblems.com/Tutor...patibility.htm. That information mostly applies to Vista, even though it says XP.
