No previews of folders

When I open an picture files I only get a generic icon instead of a preview
of my picture. IS there any settings I need to change so that I can get
previews of my pictures wiothout ahving to open them?

thumbnails don't show actual picture

Just reposting for clarity.

How do I get the thumbnails of pictures to show the actual picture instead
of the "generic" default picture?

Re: No previews of folders

I have the same problem and this box was already unchecked. Still searching
for a solution.
