| | Playing back DVDs created with Windows DVD Maker I have used Windows DVD Maker (under Windows Vista) to create several DVD-R DVDs containing photos from my digital camera. But I have been unable to play them back, either on Windows Vista or on several DVD players connected to TVs that I have tried. I downloaded a 30-day trial of a program called PowerDVD (from Cyberlink), and it is able to open an play these DVDs. But without PowerDVD installed, nothing appears to be able to play these DVDs. Questions: 1. What software on "standard" Windows Vista (Home Edition Premium, with Service Pack 1 installed) should be able to play a DVD created with Windows DVD Maker? 2. Since Windows DVD Maker CLAIMS that a DVD it creates should be able to "play the DVD in a DVD player and watch the movies and slides shows on TV," what else should I try to accomplish this? I verified that the DVD Player I was using supports DVD-R format. Please include victor@xxxxxx in your reply. Thank you, Victor Schwartz |
